Re: Special Needs Workshop Fall 2009

November 12, 2009

Dear Stephanie,

I am writing this letter to thank you so very much for volunteering your time to lead our Special Needs Workshop on Tuesday, November 10th. Our team of Educational Directors, Special Needs Coordinators and Teachers were impressed with your descriptions of speech and language development for children birth through age five. The strategies you taught us were exciting, practical and motivating to help all children in our programs improve their communication skills. Participants described the lecture as “eye opening” and are eager to have you come back to address a group of our parents.

At The Children’s Aid Society, we believe that an indicator of a great professional development workshop is when participants continue to discuss issues raised following the workshop. During the past two days, I have heard conversations among our staff about asking children well thought-out questions, eliminating bad habits for proper articulation development, and choosing books for children that will encourage the language skills we desire them to achieve.

Your lecture will continue to resonate with our staff, and our children will benefit from all you have taught us. Thank you again for sharing your incredible wealth of knowledge and we look forward to future collaborations.

Sincerely,

Margaret Caspe, PhD
